About Me
Hi! I’m Miss Kelly and its no secret I love working with children. I was born and raised on the East Coast before I made the move to California almost ten years ago. I graduated Emerson College with a BA in Theatre Studies and a minor in marketing.
Working in the entertainment industry has always been a dream of mine. Upon graduating from college, I worked in television for six years, for a small franchise called CSI:New York. It was there that I was inspired to become an On-Set Studio teacher. In June of 2015, I graduated with a Masters in Education and acquired three teaching credentials - including a Multiple Subject credential with two Single Subject credentials in Foundational Science and Biology. It was no easy task, but I knew that I had finally found my bliss. When I am not working as a Studio Teacher I find joy in producing theatre that calls for social change. In 2011, I created a Non-Profit theatre production company called The Collective Studio: Los Angeles and have been lucky to produce six shows within the last few years. These shows include The Shadow Box by Michael Christofer, Jesus Hopped the A Train by Stephen Adly Guirgis Tape by Stephen Belber, Reasons to be Pretty, Reasons to be Happy by Neil Labute and Key Change by Catrina McHugh. TCSLA is continuing to grow and create theatre that makes a difference in the lives of others. In my spare time I can be found out running with my Jack- Russell Terrier Mix, Charlie or enjoying a lovely meal out and about. I absolutely love to travel, try anything new and spend time with my loved ones. I am also a secret travel concierge for all the cities I have lived and worked in. |
